Experimental Process

The authors show through EMSA with recombinant His6-RdgB protein that it binds three of the promoters of the ctv operons and the pnlA promoter. Using DNAse footprinting, they further identify the binding site for RdgB in these promoters. The use RT-PCR to show that RpgB is directly affecting the transcription of orf1a, orf4, rdgB, and pnl.
