Experimental Process

Microarray studies were done to identify PerR-regulated genes. qPR_PCR analysis were then performed to validate microarray data. Presence of Per boxes in the identified genes was validated by scanning the M-type 3 strain MGAS315 genome. EMSAs confirmed that PerR bound directly to its target operons.

Gene Regulation

Regulated genes for each binding site are displayed below. Gene regulation diagrams show binding sites, positively-regulated genes, negatively-regulated genes, both positively and negatively regulated genes, genes with unspecified type of regulation. For each indvidual site, experimental techniques used to determine the site are also given.
