Experimental Process

To identify the genes that constitute the regulon of L. lactis CodY, the transcriptional profile of L. lactis MG1363 was compared with that of L. lactis MG1363ΔcodY. β-Galactosidase assays were used to confirm the DNA microarray results. EMSAs were performed to confirm that CodY binds its target promoters.
