Experimental Process

qRT-PCR of a ccpA mutant strain revealed a 40% decrease in pyk gene expression compared to the wild type which suggested the role of CcpA as an activator of pyk. This was further supported by the identification of a CRE site in the pyk-pfk promoter region by visual identification

Gene Regulation

Regulated genes for each binding site are displayed below. Gene regulation diagrams show binding sites, positively-regulated genes, negatively-regulated genes, both positively and negatively regulated genes, genes with unspecified type of regulation. For each indvidual site, experimental techniques used to determine the site are also given.
